Rejoicing With My Sisters of Color

One of the greatest privileges of leading Logos Academy is witnessing students dream the dreams that God has for them. Today is a historic today. This picture of Vice President Kamala Harris as a young girl reminds me that she was a little girl, like many of our K-12 students of color, who had big dreams. Who would have imagined back then that the United States might one day have a female of color as a Vice President?

Today, I rejoice with my sisters of color, that even though our nation has much work to do to honor and respect your God-given beauty and dignity, that dreams do come true, opportunities can become realities, that glass ceilings do shatter, that the world gets an opportunity to glimpse the dignity of who you are as equal and beautiful image bearers of God. May God help us value and respect each other because we all bear His image. Amen.
